Return journey

 

 

 

Packing, packing, packing and making sure that we have done the last few things that need to be done before leaving the research station in the morning.

 

We had a morning flight from Kiruna, then a few hours of waiting at Stockholm airport, then in late afternoon we arrived Copenhagen and found our way back to Lund via the direct train from Copenhagen airport to Lund. I will be back at Abisko in September to measure the active layer thickness (as the maximum thaw depth can be recorded just before it starts to freeze again), bringing 20 students on a Masters course.

 

I look forward to come back, but now first, I am off for some vacation.
