Finally, after waiting for many weeks to go back to our beloved Russian tundra, we are finally on our way there.
Right now sitting on the train, still in Finland, we can't wait to cross the border and be on our train to the northeastern part of European Russia. (Un) fortunately we will be in the field for only two weeks this time, as we only have a relatively short measurement campaign this summer season.
This year we'll be three people from the University of Eastern Finland going to Seida: The already quite experienced tundra loving Carolina and Richard and first timer master student Magdaleena, who will carry out measurement for her master thesis.
So, the three of us are on the train at the moment and will be for the next 3-4 days, with a one day stopover in Moscow, where we are planning to do some sightseeing.
We hope for a relaxing traveling time and look forward to arriving at the field site soon.
Greetings from our team,
Richard
