I am writing this already being back to Potsdam, to the "normal" life. It is hard to believe that just a few days ago we all were in Tiksi and tried to enjoy the last wild days :).
Last Tuesday we started from Samoylov again by our dear 405 buoy tender (yes, I googled the word for this kind of vessel).
So, again 7 hours along the severe and desert Lena shores and we are in Tiksi, welcomed and taken by car to the flats where we could close for the next 1,5 days.
Tiksi said goodbye with sunny and warm day, somehow unusual for the Arctic in the end of August.

As I wrote in the beginning – you never expect the expedition to be better than the previous one.
But in the end it is so hard to say goodbye to everyone with whom you have shared this long and full of impressions month – isn't it the criteria for the successful field season?
