Hugues Lantuit is a permafrost scientist at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Potsdam, Germany. He is the lead of the Helmholtz Society Young Investigator Group on coastal permafrost. Josefine Lenz from Alfred Wegener Institute is working on lake sediments in the western Canadian Arctic and Alaska. Her PhD project focusses on reconstructions of past landscape and permafrost dynamics. Juliane Wolter from Alfred Wegener Institute organizing 19 kg of pasta and 12 kg of rice for the next four weeks.
